I did a quick overnight road trip down the Central Coast earlier in July, just as far as Morro Bay this time.

Usually I'll take any chance I can get to drive down Highway 1, especially southbound since that's the side you can stop and pull over easily along the way.

This time I took 101 south, then looped around to take Highway 1 north. I've driven straight through many times but stopped at a bunch of small towns along the way this time.

And then the usual Big Sur views up along Highway 1.

One downside of driving north is that the turnouts and parking and views are mostly on the opposite side, so if you stop as often as I do it's a lot of full 360s. 😵💫

On the technical side: a mix of film stocks, but I only brought a 75mm lens with me. I appreciated the extra reach for most of the landscapes, but had to forgo some shots or back up an uncomfortable amount to get everything in the frame.
Still worth it though — I didn't want to fuss with changing lenses, and I love the extra bit of compression and tighter framing.
